Hammam session: advice and preparation

Preparation

Avoid a heavy meal and remove jewellery or metal objects. Before entering the hammam, take a warm shower to prepare your skin for the heat. At first, avoid cosmetics or creams before the session, as they may limit the skin’s natural breathing.

The session

Our hammam is very spacious: two people can sit comfortably and even lie down. A session usually lasts 10 to 20 minutes, at a temperature generally between 30 and 40°C. Take breaks whenever you wish and rinse with warm or cool water—the shower is right beside the hammam.

Hydration

During and after your hammam session, it is essential to stay well hydrated. Heat causes significant perspiration, even when it feels discreet. Drinking water helps compensate for fluid loss and supports your body’s recovery.

Aftercare

After the session, apply a moisturising cream or nourishing oil. This helps maintain the skin’s hydration and extends the sensation of softness and comfort after the hammam.

What is different here

Here, the hammam is private and located inside the cottage, which immediately changes the experience. You never share it with anyone else. The temperature can be adjusted to your comfort, and the length and rhythm of your session are entirely up to you. It is simple, direct and personal.
